Addiction Intervention Inc. offers a variety of services designed to help individuals and families find recovery from alcoholism and addiction and their corrosive effects on families. These range from conducting Family Interventions to performing assessments through our Center for Law & Addiction for use in Court cases where the potential need for treatment is an issue. The depth and breadth of our almost 30 years experience in the field results in a caring and professional response in providing each of these Services.

INTERVENTIONS

In addicted families, everyone needs to recover. When each member has a personal path of recovery, the family can redirect attention to the solution instead of continuing to focus on the problem. Addiction Intervention Inc. practices several different methods of Interventions, primarily Arise, Storti Motivational and Sytemic, all designed to achieve recovery for the client and family.

Addictions affect the whole family and we make certain that all members, not just the addicted individual, find physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing. After many years of focusing on the alcoholic or addict, many family members find a need for their own support. We accomplish this through a structured approach that focuses on the needs of both the addict, and the individual family members through our Heart of the Matter Program (link). We recommend the most appropriate treatment services, design a recovery program and provide follow up care and services, whether therapeutic or Twelve Step support groups. This gives each family member the best chance of a successful outcome.

While many friends and families believe they have to wait for their loved one to "hit bottom" before getting help, interventions provide a safe and effective way to begin recovery before lives are destroyed.

CASE MANAGEMENT

Sometimes, your loved one might volunteer to enter treatment without an Intervention. Addiction Intervention Inc. offers Case Management services to help navigate the often confusing world of treatment programs and recovery professionals. We can act as an intermediary with the treatment facilities, making certain that your loved one is achieving treatment goals and has post-treatment living and recovery plans in place. And we can offer the family support through our Heart of the Matter (link) program so as to address the needs of all members affected by the long term consequences of someone's drinking or compulsive behaviors.

THE HEART OF THE MATTER

Addiction Intervention, Inc., has designed a focused approach for families to receive the same detailed follow up care as the addict returning from treatment. Our unique Heart of the Matter umbrella program encompasses re-integration for all of the family; follow up with intervention family goals; and identifying recovery resources for the Client as well as family members through Family Assist.

Family Assist focuses on sustainable solutions for families after treatment is completed, including identifying counselors, after-care programs and support systems, both therapeutic and Twelve Step models. Together with the Heart of the Matter services, the family's hope, health and healing is assured.

WORKSHOPS

We conduct workshops on a wide variety of topics to provide education, understanding and reconnection between all members of a family ravaged by the atmosphere of suspicion, distrust, fear and hurt that addictive disorders bring. Our Family Workshops assist families in recognizing and sharing with each other their feelings and ideas in a positive, supportive and trusting environment. The workshops typically utilize educational materials, film, group discussion and one-on-one communication exercises. Most important, these Workshops give all family members the opportunity to uncover and build on the assets and positive characteristics to grow a new, healthy family system promoting healthier interactions, honest communication and healing individual expression that encourages intimate relationships.

CENTER FOR LAW & ADDICTION

Drug and alcohol abuse all too often result (directly or indirectly) in arrest and Criminal Court cases. And they are contributing causes in many divorce, child custody and juvenile matters. Our Center for Law & Addiction conducts confidential evaluations to provide a cost-effective form of expert opinion to evaluate whether treatment is necessary or appropriate in these Court matters. We help lawyers, individuals and the Courts find the best possible solution for the underlying problem, resulting in relief for clients burdened by legal disputes.

And while drugs and alcohol abuse are involved in the majority of our cases, we have also performed assessments in matters involving: prescription medications, sexual addictions, dementia, gambling, eating disorders, anger, out of control spending and other obsessive compulsive behaviors.

Our Center provides a focused approach to evaluate the needs of clients mired in the legal system. We then produce an Expert Report reviewing the facts and client's history and making recommendations as to whether, or what type, of treatment would be appropriate in light of the circumstances. Our reports have been accepted as evidence by Courts across the Country, and have helped our clients achieve dismissal of unwarranted court cases and the freedom of long term solutions. We take a stressful, negative situation and help craft legal solutions to give our clients peace of mind.
